About the Series

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup

The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup debuted in 1993 and has since been held exclusively on Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends. Right before the Formula 1 cars roll out, the Supercup takes to the track on the same legendary Grand Prix circuits through corners like Rascasse, Parabolica, and Eau Rouge.

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup

The Leading Porsche One-Make Series Worldwide

As Porsche’s highest‑level one‑make series, the Supercup sets the benchmark for all Porsche Carrera Cups around the world. The grid brings together top drivers and teams from these national series, forming one of the strongest Porsche line‑ups in motorsport.

With up to 32 cars across eight races, the competition is tight, intense, and consistently high‑quality. The championship features three classifications: Overall Driver, Rookie, and Team. Each race weekend follows a clear format with practice, qualifying, and a sprint race of 30 minutes each.

The entire championship is run directly by Porsche AG, ensuring a consistent level of professionalism across sporting organisation, technical guidance and driver development.

Same Car. Same Chance. Pure Driving.

Every team competes with the same specification of the Porsche 911 Cup, including the latest 992.2 generation car introduced in 2026 with 520 hp and a flat‑six engine that revs to 9,000 rpm. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is introducing the new 2026 car together with 3 other Carrera Cups.

Because the rules and technical conditions are equal for everyone, results come from driver performance, setup work, and team execution - not from budget differences. This guarantees fair and close racing.

A Launchpad for Future Champions

The Supercup has a long history of developing standout racing talent.

Earl Bamber won the Supercup in 2014, became a Porsche factory driver, and shortly afterwards won the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans in the Porsche 919 Hybrid.

Former Supercup Rookie Champions Ayhancan Güven and Laurin Heinrich also rose through the ranks — Güven becoming a DTM champion, and Heinrich winning the 2026 24 Hours of Daytona in the Porsche 963.

To support young racers, the series includes a Rookie Programme with dedicated rookie coaching, helping newcomers adapt quickly and compete at the highest level.

What the Supercup Stands For

Fast cars, top drivers, equal chances, iconic circuits — and the purest form of Porsche One‑Make racing.

The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup remains one of the most competitive and respected GT series worldwide, and a key steppingstone for the next generation of Porsche champions.
