As the season draws to a close, here’s a preview of Porsche Motorsport’s activities in October.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship hosts its season finale this month, kicking off October’s action with Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 3.

The following week, the DTM will also crown its champion, with the final round of 2026 held at the Hockenheimring.

Rounding off the triple header, the World Endurance Championship heads to Spain for its inaugural 6 Hours of Barcelona.

In Esports, both the Porsche Esports Supercup and Rennsport R1’s Fall Season will conclude towards the end of the month.

Here’s a full preview of all the Porsche Motorsport activities taking place in October:

IMSA: Petit Le Mans

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship rounds off the 2026 season at Road Atlanta this month, with the iconic Petit Le Mans on October 3.

Set in the heart of Georgia, this 4.088 km / 2.540 mi, 12-turn track is full of undulation, with steep rises and fast descents making it a firm fan favourite.

Lasting 10-hours, or 1,000 km, Petit Le Mans is a gruelling battle to round off another exciting season of the American sports car classic.

Porsche heads to the final round second in the GTP Manufacturers’ standings with 2,778 points, 136 behind Cadillac, and is still in contention to retain its title.

Laurin Heinrich also remains second in the Drivers’ Championship, 147 points behind Jack Aitken.

WEC: 6 Hours of Barcelona

The FIA World Endurance Championship will make its first visit to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on October 18, as part of a relocated end to the season.

In place of the Qatar 1812km, the series will head to Barcelona for its penultimate round of 2026.

The 4.657km / 2.894 mi, 14-turn circuit plays host to a variety of single-seater, sportscar and motorcycle racing, including Formula 1’s Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix and MotoGP’s Catalan Grand Prix.

With two rounds remaining, the #91 Manthey DK Engineering car sits fourth in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams standings, and Ayhancan Güven, James Cottingham and Timur Boguslavskiy are sixth in the drivers’ standings.

The season will end with the 6 Hours of Monza on November 18 in place of the 8 Hours of Bahrain.

Esports: Porsche Esports Supercup and Rennsport R1

The Porsche Esports Supercup World Championships wrap up in October after three more thrilling races.

Two rounds of five took place in September, with Charlie Collins leading the standings on 124 points with one win in the opening round at Spa-Francorchamps.

He leads by just one point from Sebastian Job, with Florian Lebigre in third in a hotly contested field.

Dayne Warren took victory in round two at Silverstone last weekend as the action continues.

Drivers who qualified through the Regional Championships will battle it out in the Porsche 911 Cup for the ultimate prize: Taking their racecraft from sim to asphalt.

There are five rounds in total across September and October, before the top racers will be selected for a Shoot-Out and invited to Cologne.

From these five participants, two drivers will be selected, and will go on to compete in real race cars on track.

The winner is ultimately crowned a new development prospect, and will be able to translate their virtual skills to the asphalt for a Porsche Motorsport-supported season in 2027.

Rennsport R1 will hold the grand finale of its Fall Season in October, after four exhilarating rounds set the scene for an exciting showdown.

The Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team won the Spring Season, and will be back to fight for more victories this autumn.

One of the team’s drivers, Joshua Rogers, is also competing in the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB this season.

He sits second in the standings with 116 points, just three points behind Team Parker Racing team-mate Joe Marshall.

Rogers took a clean sweep of three wins at Silverstone, and the season finale takes place this month at Brands Hatch.

DTM: Hockenheimring

After seven rounds and 14 exhilarating races, the DTM reaches its final showdown at the Hockenheimring from October 8 to 11.

The famed Baden-Württemberg track will hold two more races to decide who will be crowned champion of the ADAC’s premier series.

Having previously hosted Formula 1 and Grand Prix motorcycle racing, the 4.574 km / 2.842 mi track has 17 turns and is almost entirely flat.

Manthey driver Thomas Preining leads the way into the final round with 197 points - 23 clear of his closest rival.

The 2023 champion is on a run of six consecutive podiums, standing on the rostrum in every race for the past three rounds.

He was joined on the podium last time out at the Sachsenring by team-mate Riccardo Feller, taking his second third-place finish of the season.

In the Teams’ standings, Manthey also leads, with a 20-point advantage. The reigning champions are battling to go back-to-back with Teams’ titles.

This race weekend also marks the season finale of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland - its eighth round, and races 15 and 16, of 2026.

Hot on the heels of his Porsche Supercup championship title, Porsche Junior Flynt Schuring is currently battling for another crown as he sits second in the standings - seven points behind Keagan Masters.
