Florian Lebigre has been crowned the 2026 Porsche Esports Supercup Champion after five thrilling rounds of racing in the World Championships.

Nine drivers entered the finale last weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza with the chance of clinching the title, with the battle heading down to the final round.

Four drivers stayed in contention throughout the Italian season finale, but it was Verstappen Sim Racing driver Lebigre who came out on top, rounding off his season with a win to top the standings.

Coanda driver Mitchell deJong finished second, nine points behind Lebigre, with team-mate Charlie Collins in third.

A thrilling season

This year’s Porsche Esports Supercup World Championships kicked off on September 19, with 32 of the world’s best sim racers battling it out across five races.

The opening round took place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, with Lebigre taking the first pole position of the campaign and going on to win the first Sprint race ahead of Sebastian Job and Alejandro Sánchez.

In the main race, Charlie Collins snatched victory from Gustavo Ariel with a final lap pass. The latter was also then handed a penalty and finished third behind Collins’ Coanda team-mate deJong.

Round 2 took the championship to Silverstone, with two more different winners mixing up the order.

This weekend it was another Verstappen Sim Racing machine claiming the Sprint race, with Diogo Pinto on the top step of the podium, and Coanda driver Dayne Warren claiming the Main Race win.

Round 3 was an exciting rain-impacted outing at Suzuka. Lebigre took his second Sprint win of the season to top the standings by 10 points from deJong, who survived wet weather on slicks to win the Main race.

With just two rounds remaining, the action ramped up even more, with a dramatic Interlagos round mixing up the order heading into the closing stages of the season.

Warren and Sanchez took the first Coanda sweep of the championship, with two incident-filled races - one of which involved standings leader Lebigre - shuffling the championship order and deJong taking the lead.

The stakes were high for the final round at Monza, as nine drivers had a shot at the championship - seven of which were within just 23 points of each other.

Through the event, Lebigre, deJong, Job and Sánchez were all in close contention, with Job taking the points lead after the Sprint race.

But it was a calm and collected drive from Lebigre in the final Main race which clinched him a race win and the overall title.

The race isn’t over

Though Lebigre may have been crowned Champion, the battle is still not over, with the grand prize still at stake.

New for 2026 is the first-ever integration of the PESC with real-world motorsports.

The focus is a new approach: not only “from sim to track,” but genuine competition under real conditions.

Based on the 32 participants in the World Championships, five drivers will be selected for a Shoot-Out and invited to the Porsche Esports Performance Center in Cologne.

From these five participants, two drivers will be selected, and will go on to compete in real race cars on track.

The winner is ultimately crowned a new development prospect, and will be able to translate their virtual skills to the asphalt for a Porsche Motorsport-supported season in 2027.
