As the season gets into full swing, here’s a preview of Porsche Motorsport’s activities in March.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns for its second round in March, with the 12 Hours of Sebring.

The Floridian classic will be held on March 21, and is considered part of the Triple Crown of endurance racing along with the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona.

On the same day, Formula E races in Madrid, with its first race at Circuito del Jarama.

The series previously tested at the circuit in 2024, so teams have some experience, but it will be an all-new race for the 17-round calendar.

Here’s a full preview of all the Porsche Motorsport activities taking place in March:

IMSA: 12 Hours of Sebring

Returning to Florida for IMSA’s second round of 11 - though the GTP class only races at nine - the championship will head to Sebring for another thrilling race.

Sebring International Raceway is one of the United States’ most iconic tracks, with 17 turns across 6.019 km / 3.740 mi.

Riding high after victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona, the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport car shared by Julien Andlauer, Laurin Heinrich and Felipe Nasr leads the way in the drivers’ standings.

The sister #6 entry, driven by Matt Campbell, Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor is currently fourth in the championship.

Porsche has the most wins of any manufacturer at the event, with a total of 19, including at last year’s event.

Read the full race report here after Nasr, Vanthoor and Nick Tandy swept to the win in 2025.

This year, Porsche Penske Motorsport will also mark the 30th anniversary of Porsche and Mobil 1’s hugely successful partnership on and off-track.

The celebrations also form part of the wider 75 Years of Porsche Motorsport programme taking place in 2026.

Formula E: Madrid

Formula E is heading for its first-ever Madrid E-Prix at Circuito del Jarama on March 21.

The circuit hosted Formula E’s pre-season test in November 2024, so the drivers and teams already have some experience of it with these cars.

Located 20 mi / 32 km north of Madrid, the circuit has previously hosted both Formula 1’s Spanish Grand Prix and the Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix.

Pascal Wehrlein leads the drivers’ standings after five rounds, having clinched his first win of the season last time out in Jeddah. Read the full report here.

Nico Müller is sixth in the standings, while Andretti’s Jake Dennis is also inside the top 10 in eighth.

Porsche Formula E Team leads the teams’ championship with 113 points, while Porsche is also top in the manufacturers’ standings.

WEC: Qatar 1812km

The FIA World Endurance Championship was due to start on March 28 with the Qatar 1812km. However, the race has been officially postponed until later in the year due to the current and evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

A new date for the Qatar 1812km during the second half of the campaign will be finalised and communicated in due course.

The first round of the season will consequently now be the 6 Hours of Imola on 17-19 April.
